For the exposure assessment data regarding chemical properties and sale statistics will be combined with known human pharmacological data, modelled exposure data (fish plasma concentrations), and measured fish plasma concentrations. These initial assessments, in combination with other available and relevant data will form the basis for determining which pharmaceuticals compounds that will be selected for ecotoxicity testing.

Approximately 30 pharmaceuticals will be selected for further testing and these compounds will also be used in the evaluation of waste water treatment technologies.
